After graduating from Middle East Technical University in 1984 he started working at BRISA, a subsidiary firm of Sabanc\u0131 Holding.
\nIn 1986 he moved to ARGESA as Management Services Section Manager. He worked on project feasibilities, management information systems besides recruitment of the personnel, job descriptions and salary management.
\nLater, he worked at BEKSA as HR Manager and was responsible from various human resources functions.
\nHe started working at TETRAPAK, Turkey as Human Resources Director. He worked there for 8 years. He made various studies on industrial relations, salary and wage management, recruitment, management development, training and he developed several systems. His last duty in Tetra Pak was Business Support director in CAMEA region. He left Tetrapak in 1997 to start working as management consultant for Praendex Europe.
\nAs creativity is his personal interest, he has participated in many seminars and been certified to deliver courses on \u201cLateral Thinking\u201d and \u201cSix Hats\u201d of Edward de Bono in Turkey. He is the sole trainer of Six Hats and Lateral Thinking in Turkish language.
\nHe has also taken a part in a project group studying learning organizations at Vanderbilt University between 1995-96 and also managed a pilot study in Tetrapak Turkey.
\nAmong others, Kocaba\u015f ran several courses on management and organizational development at Management Center Europe in Brussels until 1997.
