Prof It\u0131r Erhart studied Philosophy and Western Languages & Literatures at Bogazi\u00e7i University. She completed her M.Phil at the University of Cambridge and PhD. at Bogazici University. She is currently teaching courses on gender, human rights, media, fundraising and social movements at Istanbul Bilgi University. She is faculty member at The School of Life Istanbul where she offers workshops on resilience, being an active citizen, and self- knowledge.
\nShe is the co-founder of Ad\u0131m Ad\u0131m (Step by Step) a volunteer-based organization that promotes charitable giving through the sponsorship of athletes in local sports events. It\u0131r also co-founded A\u00e7\u0131k A\u00e7\u0131k a platform which unites donors with NGOs that respect the rights of donors. In 2016 A\u00e7\u0131k A\u00e7\u0131k received Transparency International\u2019s award for civil society.
\nIt\u0131r is an Ashoka Fellow, Ashoka Turkey Board Member, TEGV Trustee and Advisory Board Member of the Theater Cooperative. She is one of the organizers of Festtogether, Turkey\u2019s first sustainable music festival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
